David Wingett, a standout Nebraska high school basketball player, made his debut for the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits this past Wednesday night scoring 7 points and adding 6 rebounds.
David is an interesting addition to the roster arriving this past May after spending some time with the Memphis Tigers program where he saw action in four games before breaking his leg as a freshman.
David was granted NCAA waiver last month for immediate eligibility and should see considerable playing time this year for the Jacks if he stays healthy.
He is very quick for his size at 6 foot 7 and has fantastic vision, ball control, and incredible ups.
Wednesday nights exhibition game against Mount Marty, David put on a show with a highlight reel dunk that we all hope someone got on tape.
Wow!!! ? David Wingett Jr.
