The Sioux City Outlaws Are 3-0

Sioux City Outlaws moved to 3-0 as they get pass the MBL Select out of Minnesota in their Hoopin for the Homeless game 108-93. The Outlaws had five players in double digit scoring with Coco Cofield leading the way with 39 for a season best 38 points per game.

Cofield was able to get it done from everywhere on the floor as he and his teammates faced a 2-3 zone most of the night by the MLB Select. Alvin Gunter with 21 points (21.6 ppg) continues to be consistent with his play on the offensive and defensive end of the floor. Martez Van Buren had 23 in his first start as he pushed his ppg total to 12.5 per game. Rounding out double digit scoring was Weston Wood with 12 (14 ppg) & Marcus Watkins with 10 (7.6 ppg).

Guard #3 Nate Deal

Finishing up the scoring for the Outlaws was Nate Deal with 3 (10.6 ppg). The three pointer and three points by Deal was huge as it began a run by the Outlaws as they blew the game wide open leading by 20 late in the 3rd quarter and most of the 4th.

The MBL Select was led by the hot shooting hand of Shawn Bear with 25, Dom Dawson 23, & Roc Rogers with 21.

Mark your calendars for Oct. 14th as the Outlaws will host The Pit Bulls out of Minnesota for their community appreciation game at 5pm at the Long Lines Rec Center.
