Missouri River offers four big events in 2018
Kayakers who want to join organized events on South Dakota’s best river have four opportunities this summer.
Four events ranging from six to 72 miles begin May 5 with the Dam N Back Trek in Yankton. That city also hosts the South Dakota Kayak Challenge on Memorial Day weekend. More than 160 paddlers took part in last year’s Challenge.
The Fort to Field 50 is July 14 between Pickstown and Springfield and the August 17 Riverboat Days event also returns for its fun-run style occurrence this year.
