I asked him if he was sleepy
and his reply was no.
He said he was only tired
and how is that so?
He knew he couldn’t explain
but he still tried to.
he didn’t realize it at first
but I already knew.
I didn’t know that he was tired
but I knew what he meant.
He was tired of this place
but wasn’t sleepy yet.
He’ll be sleepy in awhile
and he’ll go to bed.
Maybe all of his tiredness
will go away in his head.
His life will soon change
for it will be a new day,
but all of his feelings in his head
will still be the same.
Nothing can affect his feelings.
No one can change them much,
but to make them feel better,
he’ll only need your touch.
