Winter Wheat
Now that you are gone
How I miss you so much
And wonder what went wrong
Your image of strength
Your voice of reason
Your special touch
Kept me believing
Why did you leave?
Why, at this time?
You were always there for me
You were always my wind chime
Warning me of danger
Helping when I was lost
Nudging me to push myself
Protecting me from that first frost
Winter Wheat
Now that you are gone
How I miss you so much
And wonder what went wrong
Love you and miss you grandpa
We had just harvested our winter wheat and shortly after lost our grandpa. He was a great man and made all of us better people. He will be missed dearly.
