Warriors Seek Revenge against Sioux City West

fullsizerenderSB-L got a chance at redemption versus Sioux City West on Tuesday night (1/10). After losing in the final seconds of their season opener to the Wolverines, the Warriors were ready to work for a win.

The first quarter was a defensive battle between the two physical teams. Ty Boekelman put the Warriors on the board with two fouled shots and made free throws. However, West quickly drained a three-pointer to close the score gap. Kroll put in a three for the Warriors but the Wolverines snuck in another three-point play before the buzzer to make the quarter score 12-9.

Kroll hit a three to start the next quarter, and Connor Groves quickly swished a Warrior three-pointer as well.

img_8295In the second half, Jackson Wright put in the first 12 points for SB-L to get them rolling again. Groves sunk another three to put SB-L up by 10 going into the final eight minutes.

All the Warrior players showed great teamwork and persistence as they defeated the Wolverines 53-44.

Wright was the leading scorer and rebounder for the night with 19 points and 9 boards. Kroll also put up double-digits with 16 total points. Boekelman and Groves each had 8 points this game.
