The Master’s Gallery

While living on the shores of a Nebraska lake
when the sun was setting or the moon was full
we were privy to the works of the Master in
real time.
At sunset the colors from the horizon
to the blackening of night, change as the wind
moves the clouds here and there and the sun
gradually disappears. It was a Master’s best.
And then it was the moon’s turn to show us
another of the Master’s works.
As the moon makes its way across the night
sky the lake comes alive. The shimmering
reflection in the lake is mesmerizing. As
the water moves with the wind or the wake
of a boat, the reflection changes and then
settles.
Tomorrow we will see another sunset and
another rising moon. They are never the
same, never predictable. We are privy
to an endless gallery of the Master’s work.
