The Siouxland United Wolves Rugby team took first place in the opening tournament of the Rugby Nebraska 7’s season yesterday in Omaha.
The Wolves dismantled Omaha United 45-0 in the first match. They then downed West Omaha “B” 26-12 to take top honors in Pool A.
In the championship, the Wolves went up 14-0 against Papillion in a contest that was shortened by the threat of lightning.
The Wolves will host the next Rugby Nebraska 7’s Tournament Saturday, October 1st beginning at 10:00am at the Dible Soccer Complex in South Sioux City.
UPDATE: This weekends game has been moved to Omaha.
