There sure seems to be a lot of volleyball talent here in Siouxland because another team is heading to Nationals this weekend and the Sioux City Impact Volleyball organization is proud to be sending them.

Taylor Spotten and Tori Schulz, both on the SCI 12U squad, won their ticket to Nationals in Milwaukee by winning the Great Plains Beach Volleyball Tournament in Omaha back in June.

Tori Schulz, however, will not be able to attend so filling in for her will be a fellow Impact teammate Ellie Wiese.

Ellie is another very talented volleyball player for SCI.  The 12U Impact team have won various tournaments earlier this year including the Gold Tournament at the Sioux Fall Pentagon in April and the regionals in Omaha in May.

Last year the beach volleyball nationals had 100’s of teams participate from across the country and 50 different teams just in the 12U category.

This is a huge honor for these girls to be able to represent Siouxland.

Although this particular tournament is a doubles tournament and only two players will be participating we want to recognize the other outstanding players on the Sioux City Impact 12U squad.

Sammi Archer, Madison Wilcoxon, Ella Brester, Emma Fredericksen and Madeline Stout all of which attend either Sergeant Bluff Luton or Dakota Valley and have won various tournaments and honors already this year.

We also want to recognize Braden Hall, a Morningside College Men’s Volleyball player, who will be coaching the girls this weekend at Nationals.

Pool play begins this Friday and Saturday for Taylor and Ellie so wish them luck!
