North Iowa Knights semi pro football team moved to 2-2 on the year and 2-0 on the road with a 26-0 victory against the Iowa Warhawks in Cedar Rapids.
The ground game again carried the Knights to victory with Chandler Scott (Glidden) getting 3 Touchdowns and Jeromie Wanser (Carroll) Getting the other TD!
Coach Shoesmith said
“It started up front the push from the O-Line was great today”.
The O-Line is beefy and quick with Andrew Christophel (Estherville), Jordan Shoesmith (Carroll), Mayson Lupkes (Estherville), David Rupp (Estherville), and Al Gonzalez (Storm Lake).
The Knights other 2 pts came on a PAT pass from Sam Spencer (Rockwell City) to DJ Hocken (Manning).
The Knights Defense pitched their 2nd shutout of the year. Lead by Dan Ertz (Glidden) with 6 sacks and multiple tackles. Vincent Stroman Jr (Sioux City) also had an INT for the Knights defense that stepped up huge!
Redemption Saturday is now upon us as the Knights travel to Nebraska to take on the Nebraska Lawdawgs who the Knights lost to 8-6 week 2 of the MFL season.
Knights next home game will be June 22nd VS the Northwest Iowa Bulldogs in Early 7pm Kick-Off!
