Semi Pro Football is coming to Early, Iowa. The North Iowa Knights have a new home and new league for 2018 season, they have joined the Midwest Football League.
Knights rival NW Iowa Bulldogs also joined the new league with them along with other teams from Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri.
The Knights did not stop there, they also added a new head coach as 1st year coach Waylan Shoesmith takes over the helm for the Knights and Marty Hart returns as Defensive Coordinator.
Returning leaders for the Knights are Justin Witzke (Schaller), Aston Gellert (Estherville) , Tavian Prichard (Sioux Rapids) Payton Rice (Manson), Brady Brehmer (Carroll), Trevor Bremer (Carroll), Kamden Kramer (Rockwell City), Tristin Hayden (IDA Grove), Al Gonzalez (Storm Lake), Jordan Shoesmith (Carroll), David Bloyer (Schaller), Kenny Wiltse (Ida Grove), Bobby Kephart (Fairfax, MO), Dan Wallace (Ottosen), Charles Cappers (Lincoln, NE), Eddie Shufford (Gary,In) Zack Ranck-Berns (Burlington, IA) Josh Williams (IDA Grove) David Rupp (Bedford,Iowa), DJ Erkenbrack (Rockwell City) mixed with a great group of first year players.
The Knights open there season May 12th @ Northwest Iowa Bulldogs in Aurelia, Iowa 7pm kick-off.
First home game June, 9th VS Northwest Iowa Bulldogs 7pm kick-off in Early, Iowa.
