Dragonfly Desserts

If you’re interested in fresh baked delights, run on down to Dragonfly Desserts, located in Alma, Nebraska. They have a variety of things to choose from: scones, cinnamon rolls, caramel rolls, cupcakes, cheesecake, and quiche. In the last month Dragonfly have introduced a new product, fresh baked pretzels. There are three different types of pretzels: regular, garlic parmesan, and the everything pretzel. Their pretzels are a little bit different than what customers may be used to; they are definitely not as sweet as other offerings,  but they are just as delicious.

The regular pretzel is exactly what it sounds like, perfectly baked dough, with salt. It is definitely a simple, but very amazing snack. The garlic parmesan pretzel, once again sounds like exactly what it is. This was personally my favorite; I love really anything garlic, and this pretzel was a balance between savory spices and delicious fresh baked dough. The everything pretzel consists of poppy seed, sesame seed, onion, and garlic.  These pretzels are made fresh twice a week (Thursday and Friday), served warm, and are ready for walk-ins or can be pre-ordered. The regular pretzel costs $2.50, the garlic parmesan $2.75, and the everything pretzel is $3.00 . Old and new customers will definitely enjoy this new product!

Cheryl Brown, the owner of Dragonfly Desserts is a self-taught baker.   Brown has always enjoyed baking and has turned it into a good living. She has put many smiles on peoples faces with her creations. Dragonfly Desserts has so many unique things about it, so swing by Tuesday-Friday 8am-5pm. The shop is also open Saturday 8am-1pm. You will not be disappointed. Her fresh baked products are out of this world.
