The Dakota Valley volleyball team had a very impressive 29-5 season last year where they placed at state.  They lost in the second round to the eventual champion Sioux Falls Christian 3-1 but beat Mt. Vernon/Plankinton 3-0 to claim 3rd place in the Class A State Volleyball Tournament.  The Panthers had an amazing season last year and an amazing team.  They did, however, lose four very experienced seniors that helped them post a perfect 8-0 record at home and lead them throughout the season.

The question everyone wants to know is whether or not Dakota Valley will win state this year?  Of course they will.  Actually, I don’t have clue but I do know that they definitely have a great team and are more than capable of winning it all.  They somehow replaced all that lost experience from last years team with new talent, experience and team camaraderie and are still competing at the same level.  One thing is for sure the girls from Dakota Valley sure know how to play volleyball.
